Are you suffering from:

  • Hot flashes

  • Night Sweats

  • Insomnia

  • Anxiety

  • Brain Fog

  • Thinning Hair

  • Acne

  • Vaginal Dryness

  • Low Libido

  • Metabolic Dysfunction

  • Painful periods

  • Migraines

  • Constipation

  • Feeling cold

All of these symptoms can occur during perimenopause and menopause.  This is a difficult transitional period for many women and this difficulty can be compounded by the fact that Western Medicine doesn't offer much more than hormone replacement therapy.

We do. Eastern Medicine has been been doing this for over 2,000 years.

Yoga Session

Your body is wise.

We remind it how to find balance and vitality again.

How does natural hormone balancing work?

Find the why

There are many factors that can contribute to dysfunctional hormone balance.  Adrenal fatigue?  Thyroid conditions?  Autoimmune conditions?  We work on finding the WHY first.  Menopause and perimenopause symptoms highlight hormonal imbalances but we uncover the secondary systems that are not supporting your body's ability to balance naturally.

Evidence based theory

We work on healing your body at the deepest levels with acupuncture, herbal supplements and simple lifestyle recommendations to show your body the way back into balance. Your body wants to be healthy, balanced and thriving. We remind it how to get there and give you simple steps to keep it there.  This is evidenced based Chinese Medical theory that has been used for centuries.

Take a full body approach

We make success attainable.  In addition to your treatments we'll offer advice on how to tweak dietary or lifestyle habits which will support this transition.  We recognize your body as a complex interconnected system so we support the entire ecosystem that is YOU.

Comprehensive Natural Hormone Balancing

What will my experience be like?

1

Consultation with Dr. Zhou

Durning your first visit Dr. Zhou will conduct a thorough evaluation of your individual needs and you'll receive your first acupuncture treatment.  Menopause shows up differently for different women so understanding YOUR symptoms is an important part of our process. He will identify the root dysfunction in your system and treat both the symptoms and the origin.  Be sure to check out Dr. Zhou's bio. He is a renowned expert in this field and has been helping women for decades.

2

Treatment Plans

Your treatment plan will be customized to your exact needs and Dr. Zhou will be your treating practitioner at each visit.  Often this involves acupuncture every two week and a Chinese Herbal prescription.  He may also use additional techniques such as e-stim, cupping and gua sha if appropriate.  There is extensive research on the benefits of acupuncture for menopause symptoms and also the protective benefits against the increased post menopausal risk for cardiovascular disease.

3

Maintenance

In general most symptoms can be resolved in 2 to 3 months. Once you're feeling like yourself again, Dr. Zhou will educate you on the best way to maintain your success.  This may include additional periodic acupuncture treatments, dietary and lifestyle advice.  The onset of menopause mean low hormone levels are here to stay, but if additional symptoms arise down the road you can rest assured that you have a partner to get you back on track.
