Dr. Zhou has over 30 years experience in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.  He earned his Doctor of Oriental Medicine (O.M.D) in China and a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology at The West Virginia University School of Medicine. 
 
He specializes in Women’s Health with a focus on menopause, hormonal issues, and breast cancer therapy.  He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the fields of Oncology and Hematology at the WVU University School of Medicine and a second fellowship in the Breast Cancer Program at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  As a professor at University of Maryland School of Medicine, Dr. Zhou taught courses on hormone related cancer and other diseases to medical and graduate students.
 
Dr. Zhou’s research has been published in countless journals and articles and his editorial and reviewer contributions are extensive.  He has been the recipient of many honors and awards in his fields of study over the years, and he remains an active member in the American Association for Cancer Research.
 
Dr. Zhou takes a comprehensive approach to resolving menopause symptoms for women.  Drawing on his vast clinical experience in the field of Women’s Health and hormone related issues, he combines Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Therapy and manual therapies such as gua sha and cupping to produce consistently successful relief for his patients.
